Dear Michael, I just had to send this note to tell you what a great experience I had with the recent visit from Eric to replace my dehumidifier. He is a true gentleman and I was very pleased with his ability to correct the problem and his demeanor is doing so. You have a very fine employee in Eric.

Dear Michael,
Our appreciation of Redding’s tradition of service continues to grow. The inevitable disruption of our home in the last two weeks was made bearable only by the extraordinary efforts of John K. and Bo, with time contributions by Mike K. We could not have survived without their exceptional care and consideration each and every day. Our new utility closet is nothing short of a work of art, accomplished under the most complicated and constrained circumstances. Even so, it was the willingness of your people to serve beyond the normal call of duty that deserves special recognition. When late in the afternoon last Friday our new dishwasher was delivered without the expected installation crew, John and Bo kindly stayed on to removed our old machine and install the new one. Our holiday weekend was rescued. When it is time for your company to consider raises and bonuses, my wife and I strongly recommend that “our” crew be given special consideration. They exemplify the family tradition of service that Jack, Dave and Mike Redding have carried forward in Princeton for the more than 40 years we have lived here. Thank you for another job well done.

I’ve finally had a chance to catch my breath since your guys were here, and I wanted to say it was a pleasure having the crew with us. I am a long-time user of the services provided by Redding’s and usually am quite satisfied with your service. Yesterday, your service was outstanding. Your technician, Eric, came to my house to install a new garbage disposal. He was here on time, did his work carefully, tested the operation of the disposal, and neatly cleaned up any residue before he left. He had also previously recommended this specific disposal based on the requirements of the position of the existing drainage line. In other words, he did everything to assure that the job was done promptly. Not surprisingly, the disposal worked perfectly last night.

We got our new Trane HVAC syste installed back in August. This furnace is spectacular! The variable speed fan motor has resolved the balance problem between upstairs and downstairs. Now the upstairs is within 2 degress of the downstairs. It’s NEVER been like that before. Now that we’re getting into the colder season, we anticipate much lower heating bills now that we have our new system working for us, rather than the old system working against us. Redding’s wasn’t the lowest bidder or the highest, but you did come with a recommendation form a neighbor and now we’re the ones giving out recommendations. Fair pricing and excellent service makes for a great working relationship. Thanks Redding’s! We’re going to have a wonderful, toasty-warm and cosy winter.

Dear Mr. Redding,
I am writing with grateful thanks to you and Redding’s Plumbing for excellent work on our sewer line at our home here in Lawrenceville. The work was expertly done by Mike K. We found him extremely diligent, knowledgeable, professional, and skilled in his work. He knew exactly what to do and how to do it quickly. Mike gave us instructions on how to care for the efficient operation of the sewer line. He told us gurgling in the interior pipes indicated a problem about to emerge. He said also that the sewer line should be cleaned out once a year, best just before the holidays start in November. We will follow his advice and will phone Redding’s for plumbing needs. Thank you for your patience and for sending Mike, one of your expert plumbers.

Dear Mr. Redding,
It is not often enough that I find the need to sit down and thank someone for a job well done, but that time is now. During one of the hottest days in June, the second floor air conditioning system in our home decided to expire. It was the day before Father’s day, and I placed several frantic calls to businesses in the area for help. Fortunately , I had seen one of your trucks in my neighborhood, and had the good fortune to include Redding & Son in my call list. My call was directed to Don, shortly before closing, who spent time discussing my concerns and then amazed me by offering to come out to home at 8am on Father’s Day(!) for a complete evaluation. After his inspection, Don spent over two hours with us carefully assessing our problems and needs, and guiding our purchase decision. He left with not only a signed contract for a complete replacement system, but with our trust and confidence in hi obvious knowledge, experience and sincerity. The following week John and crew arrived as promised with our new Carrier Infinity system. Working under the most difficult conditions I could imagine (temperatures in the attic often exceeded 112 degrees), John spent two complete days on the installation. I cannot say enough about their professional knowledge, work ethic, craftsmanship, and friendly willingness to work under those conditions. John’s attention to detail and explanation of everything being done were greatly appreciated. Thanks to the efforts of Redding & Son, we now find ourselves bathed in comfortably cool dry air, which I’m sure we’ll be grateful for in the years ahead. The advantages of dealing with a local family owned and long established business have again been made obvious. I’ve written really to let you know that those employed by you conduct themselves in a way which should make you proud…as if they themselves were part of that family. I’m sure none of this comes as real news to you. I thought you just might enjoy hearing it from another satisfied customer. Thank you for a job well done.

My wife and I are delighted with the Trane AC you installed in our home two weeks ago. It has been functioning well during hot and humid days and is extremely quiet and efficient. We feel we made the proper decision in selecting Trane AC and the Redding Co. to install it.
I must make the following comments about the three men who did the installation. They worked with speed and skill that was obvious to me as I watched during the hours the process required. On Wednesday and Thursday, April 25th and 26th I had a new sump pump installed after 16 years and a new Bradford White electric water heater installed after an 8 year old AO Smith was diagnosed by Joe as simply a serious “rusting” risk. (my words). I was very impressed with Joe’s work and the way he cleaned up everything. He was very pleasant to talk with and kept me informed of exactly what he was doing. In short, his work was very professional. Not that I have a great demand for plumbing work, but it is nice to know that the next time I call Redding’s, I’ll ask to have Joe C come over.

Dear Town Topics,
We’re writing to express publicly our thanks to Mike Redding and Redding Plumbing and Heating of Princeton for facilitating work on a project at our house last winter. At that time, my husband had a stroke, which left him with some degree of paralysis, and he was at Merwick Rehabilitation Center for what seemed like a long time to us, but was in fact only a few short weeks.
During that time, Mike and his crew and subcontractors responded immediately to a call for help in making a downstairs bathroom accessible, gave this work priority, and did a fine job in time for my husband’s homecoming. Not only were they willing to undertake this work on short notice, but Mike in particular brought to it an eye for detail and an expertise in questions of accessibility for which we were most grateful.
We’d also like to thank the township building permits office for moving this project along, and for their courtesy and cooperation, and the people at Merwick for a brilliant and successful rehabilitation.
We are relative newcomers to Princeton, and we are therefore especially grateful for the support and help we received, and the kindness with which it was given.

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you how pleased I am with the recent bath and kitchen renovations completed by Chuck and Dan at my townhouse. I especially appreciated their willingness to start early in the day, so that I could get to my office on time. (I have a 45 minute commute, and start my work day at 7:30am)
I would also like to point out how efficient they were, and how exceptionally clean the work site was, following demolition. They were courteous and conscientious, and careful to watch out for the cat. And they take obvious pride in their work.

I recently had a serious plumbing problem. My hot water tank suddenly sprang a leak. I called your firm and spoke to Karen.
She handled the solution to the problem as quickly as was possible. Karen behaved in a professional, responsible, knowledgeable and concerned manner. Her experience, maturity, authority and understanding of the problem were most apparent.
This appears to be a time when service oriented firms and their employees are mostly unreliable and rude. You are fortunate to have such a good employee – and this includes most of your servicemen who have been to my house. The quality of their work is generally very good. Anything that goes wrong is immediately scheduled to be remedied by Karen.
Karen deserves to be especially compensated for being such an outstanding employee who is concerned about customers and their satisfaction.
